A voice for grieving children at TEDxDelft

Last Friday, TEDxDelft was trending topic online. And I'm grateful it was, because all speakers and the amazing TEDxDelft team have worked like mad to prepare everything for this inspiring event. And I am so, so grateful that I was part of it. My TEDx talk 'Helping The Invisible' was about children without parents in Western countries. Orphans.

I may have given hundreds of presentations (literally), but this one was very dear to me. And very special, because it was the first time in my life that I experienced a staggering amount of stage fright. It was horrifyingly scary. But I'm SO glad I did it. The talk will be online on YouTube and TEDxDelft.nl within the next couple of weeks. The tech team is still editing all talks. I'll post a link to the video once it's online. In the meantime, you can read the TEDxDelft blog post about the talk.

The feeling of connection, bonding and pride I feel for the other speakers is enormous. I can't express enough how engaged in this experience everybody was. It feels like I have made new friends.

This whole process of preparing has changed something within myself that I can carry with me in my life. And that feels like a great gift.

It was an honour an privilege, and I feel very, very humble. And very, very grateful.
